Here in the Parish of the Holy Trinity, East Ham, we are committed to helping you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed. The Church of England has been helping people to mark the end of a loved one's life for generations.
How to arrange a funeral
Generally, the first contact with the parish is made through a funeral director. If you are not sure which funeral director to use locally, there is a list of members on the website of the National Association of Funeral Directors here.
If you prefer, you can contact us directly via the parish office - 020 8470 0011 or easthamparish@gmail.com. You will need to put us in touch with the funeral director you are using.
You can have your loved one's funeral taken by one of the parish clergy in one of our churches, at a cemetery or crematorium chapel or at a green burial site.
Your loved one's funeral can be taken by a member of the clergy in the parish if they, or you, live in the parish, or if there is a natural pastoral connection - for example, that they worshipped or were married here.
