Parish Birthdays – Happy Birthday to all those celebrating this week.

St Mary’s Patronal Many thanks to all who helped make last weekend such a great success from the Catering to the Concert and all things in between !

Fr Fred Bishop Matthais of Ho Diocese Ghana (Fr Fred’s home diocese) and the Cathedral Chapter of Ho Cathedral have taken the decision to appoint Fred as an honorary Canon of St George’s Cathedral, Ho.  Fred’s collation will take place in Ho on 8 September 2019.  Please keep Fr Fred and his family in your prayers, it is very good for the Parish that Fred has been appointed to this roll.

Congratulations to Mary who gave birth to a daughter, Rose Antonia Grace, on Friday 19th July weighing 5lbs 5ozs.  Mother and baby are doing well.

Norman Lipman Quintin visited Norman last week and he seems to be handing the hot weather fairly well.  Please keep him in your prayers.

St Mary’s Baptisms We are looking forward to having a large family baptism on 4th August.  Please keep the family in your prayers as they prepare.

It was good to welcome the Brasenose College principal, John Bowers to East Ham last Thursday.  Brasenose are the Patrons of the Parish. 

Sue will be from work until Wednesday 14th August.  For urgent pastoral matters, contact Quintin or practical matters the Parish Office.

St Bart’s patronal festival Sunday 1 September 2019, preacher is Dr Frederick Nye. Joint Parish Eucharist followed by lunch in the Denmark Arms.

St Mary’s DCC is 2 October at 7.30pm in the parish room

St Bart’s DCC is 22 September at 11.45 in the Luke Room

St Edmund’s DCC is 3 September at 7.30pm.

Next PCC meeting is 25 September at 7.00pm at St Bart’s


St Edmund’s on Wednesday 10am, St Mary’s at 6.30pm and St Bart’s on Thursday at 12.15pm. There are no midweek services after Thursday 1st August until Wednesday 4th September.
