Many congratulations to John on the occasion of his ordination to the Priesthood and first mass.  Everyone is invited to the church hall after the service where we will celebrate this wonderful event.  Many thanks to John and Claudette who are providing the refreshments today.  The buffet will be opened when everyone has come across from church. 

Many thanks to Rev Dr John Brown for preaching this morning.

Marion Foote Quintin visited Marion last week and she sends best wishes to everyone at St Mary’s but particularly to John on his Ordination.

Parish Tea Dance We have raised a tremendous total of £881 to sent to Christian Aid from various parish events: tea dance, jewellery making and generous donations.  The parish will round this amount up to £1,000.  Thanks to all involved.

Meeting at St Edmund’s for St Ed’s folk to begin a conversation about its future mission and ministry on Tuesday 2 July 2019 at 7.30pm.  This meeting will be facilitated by Rev Paul Regan.

Saturday 6 July Tea Concert with the Woodford Symphony Orchestra Ensemble at St Bart’s at 3pm.  Entrance is free, donations welcome in aid of the parish. 

St Bart’s DCC Meeting that was scheduled for 7th July has been postponed to Sunday 14th July at 11.45 in the Luke Room.

Course in Christian Studies there are a number of taster evenings throughout the Diocese in June and July please see the poster at the back of church or contact the office for further details.

Bishop of Barking’s Study Day on Tuesday 9 July 2019 at 9.30am to 2pm at St Mary’s Church, 201 High Rd, Loughton, Essex, IG10 1BB.  What does it mean to be a Christian in the public sphere ?  Cost is £15, concessions £5.  Please book by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. Richard House Children's Hospice Summer Fair Saturday 13th July, 12-4pm Admission 50p adults, children free. Music, dancing and fun; Face paints & circus tricks; tea and cakes with "The Queen"; Great raffle and tombola prizes Richard House Drive, Beckton E16 3RG

Deanery Confirmation at St Bart’s on Sunday 14th July at 7pm. We have three confirmation candidates from the parish – further details to follow.

If ye Love me - Choral Music for a Summer’s Evening on Saturday 20th July at 7.30pm at St Mary’s.  The Friends’ Musick chamber choir directed by Jordan Theis will be performing.  Tickets are £5 each and are available from the Parish Office or St Mary’s.
