With Christian Aid:  for Christian Aid Week and for the collectors, event organisers, sponsored walkers, Big Brekkie chefs and many more who make this the biggest week of Christian witness across the UK and Ireland. Pray that everything will run smoothly, and there would be a real sense of celebration in communities across the British Isles this week.

In the world: Our homes, families, friends and all whom we love.

Quintin spoke at the Iftar gathering at the Barking Road mosque last night and brings greetings to our community from all at the mosque as they celebrate Ramadan.

Café News This Tuesday is a Jewellery Making Workshop in aid of Christian Aid @ 1pm – All are welcome

E6 Leaders Prayers for Peace at St Bart’s on Thursday 16 May 2019 at 8am silent and extempore prayer followed by the usual morning prayer at 9am and the coffee in the café – all are welcome.

Visitation Service This year will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd May at All Saints Woodford Wells.  Church wardens are obliged to attend, it is good if PCC and DCC members attend and everyone is welcome.  There will be no Eucharist at St Mary’s on that evening.

National Pilgrimage at Walsingham There are two pick-up points for the coach at Newham College, High Street South at 7.30am and St Edmund’s Katherine Road at 7.45am.  We leave Walsingham at 5pm to arrive back at around 6.30-7pm.  The cost of the trip is £20 per person. Please put your name on the list at the back of church if you wish to attend – including the pick-up point you will join the coach. 

Parish Tea Dance. Saturday 15th June 3-5pm at St Mary’s in memory of Gillian Mayer. All proceeds to Christian Aid. Tickets are now available from Shirley (St Bart’s) Ed (St Ed’s) and Claudette (St Mary’s) or the Parish Office.

St Bart’s DCC is 12 May 2019 at 11.45 in the Luke Room

St Edmund’s DCC is 6 June at 7.30pm.

Next PCC meeting is Tuesday 21 May at 7.30pm at St Edmund’s
