St Mary’s Yesterday June went in for her long-awaited knee operation at Newham General Hospital.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Congratulations to Michaela (Hazel Thomas’ daughter) and Sejil on their wedding which was blessed yesterday. 

Norman Lipman is unwell. Quintin gave him last rites when he visited him on Thursday.  Please keep him in your prayers.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation If you wish to make confession part of your Holy Week preparation, please speak to one of the clergy to make an appointment.

Nominations for Office forms for Church Wardens, Parish Wardens and for PCC & DCC membership are available.  Please put completed forms back into the plastic wallet at your church.  Consider prayerfully if you are called to one of these roles, but please remember that taking on the role means a commitment to attend the majority of meetings.

APM & APCM is at St Bart’s on 28 April this year.  After the meeting we have booked lunch at the Denmark Arms.  This will be a traditional roast lunch (beef, lamb, chicken & veggie option) followed by either sticky toffee pudding or a fruit crumble and a coffee.  Cost per person is £12.  Please sign up on the sheet at the back of church if you’d like to come.

Café News This week, as it’s half term, we will be having two showings of Mary Poppins Returns @ 10am and 1pm – all are welcome !

St Mary’s & St Bart’s we will be cleaning and preparing both of the churches for Easter on Saturday 20th April from 10am at St Mary’s and 10.30am at St Bart’s.  Hot Cross buns, tea and coffee will be available afterwards.  All are welcome.

Memorial Service for Ingegard Roberts (John’s Mother) John and his brothers invite all friends who remember their Mum to this service to be held at Bart’s on Saturday April 27th at 11am.

Bible Study Our next bible study will be on Monday 29 April at Bart’s at 2pm.

Visitation Service This year will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd May.  Church wardens are obliged to attend, it is good if PCC and DCC members attend and everyone is welcome.  There will be no Eucharist at St Mary’s on that evening.

Save the date

Once again, we will be organizing a coach to go along to the National Pilgrimage at Walsingham on Monday 27th May. 

Tea Dance to raise funds for Christian Aid on Saturday 15th June 3-5pm in the hall at St Mary’s – more details to follow.

St Bart’s DCC is 10 May 2019 at 11.45 in the Luke Room

St Edmund’s DCC is 6 June at 7.30pm.

Next PCC meeting is Tuesday 21 May at 7.30pm at St Edmund’s
