Confirmation class is today at St Bart’s after the morning service.

St Mary’s welcome for baptism today Lennie Louise Emma Harding and particularly welcome Gary and Emma back to the church where they got married.  Please keep Lennie and his family in your prayers at this important time.

We pray for Micheala and Sejil who are having a wedding blessing next Saturday.  We remember in our thoughts the whole family and in particular Hazel Thomas.

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday and the joint service will be at St Bart’s this year.  If you would be willing to read a part in the passion narrative please contact Rev Sue.  Please see insert for details of the rest of Holy Week services.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation If you wish to make confession part of your Holy Week preparation, please speak to one of the clergy to make an appointment.

Electoral Roll Certificates, New Electoral Roll and APM & APCM notices go up in church today.  The electoral roll is now closed.  Nomination forms for Church Wardens, Parish Wardens and for PCC & DCC membership are available.  Please put completed forms back into the plastic wallet at your church.  Consider prayerfully if you are called to one of these roles, but please remember that taking on the role means a commitment to attend the majority of meetings.

APM & APCM is at St Bart’s this year.  After the meeting we have booked lunch at the Denmark Arms.  Please sign up on the sheet at the back of church if you’d like to come.

Café News This Tuesday is a Crafternoon in the Café @ 1.30pm.  All are welcome.

St Mary’s & St Bart’s we will be cleaning and preparing both of the churches for Easter on Saturday 20th April from 10am.  Hot Cross buns, tea and coffee will be available afterwards.  All are welcome.

Memorial Service for Ingegard Roberts (John’s Mum) John and his brothers invite all friends who remember their Mum to this service to be held at Bart’s on Saturday April 27th at 11am.

Bible Study Our next bible study will be on Monday 29 April at Bart’s at 2pm.

Lent 2019 Final Lent group this year will be on 10 April 2pm at Pilgrims Way and 7pm at St Mary’s. Please note that St Bart’s Thursday Eucharist will continue to be at 12.15 with silent prayer from 12 noon for those who desire it. 

Visitation Service This year will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd May.  Church wardens are obliged to attend, it is good if PCC and DCC members attend and everyone is welcome.  There will be no Eucharist at St Mary’s on that evening.

Save the date

Once again, we will be organizing a coach to go along to the National Pilgrimage at Walsingham on Monday 27th May. 

Tea Dance to raise funds for Christian Aid on Saturday 15th June 3-5pm in the hall at St Mary’s – more details to follow.

St Edmund’s DCC is 6 June at 7.30pm.
