In the world: All who work in the medical and healing professions.

With Christian Aid:  for Christian Aid’s work with six long term partners in Iraq. Pray that those who are most vulnerable – displaced people, refugees and host communities – would be strengthened to better cope with crises and live peaceful lives together.

In the Parish: those who live in Telham Rd, Temple Rd, Thorpe Rd.

St Mary’s The flowers in church today are from Jean Richards in loving memory of her Grandson Ben Mason Richards.

Leading Intercessions @ Barts - training for all those who lead intercessions in church, or would like to start, are on Sunday 3rd March immediately after the service. Please make an effort to attend if you do lead intercessions - you are especially welcome if you are just thinking about it!

School Visits We have a HUGE number of schools visiting Bart’s over the next few months and would really appreciate help with this.  If you would like to be involved with these visits please speak to Rev Sue.

Calling all seniors ! A course of five sessions exploring evangelism by seniors – Fridays from 15th March to 12th April from 12 noon to 2.3pm with a free light lunch at St Mark’s Church, Beckton.  All welcome.

Gillian Mayer The Thanksgiving Service for Gillian (she is being cremated privately, without ceremony) will be held at Pilgrims Way Church, E6 1HW on Saturday 2nd March at 10:30am. All welcome.

Table Top Sale Wednesday 13th February, we’ll be having a table top sale in the café.  If you have been having a post-Christmas sort out of your cupboards and have any unwanted Christmas gifts we’d be happy to accept any donations towards the sale ! 

Next Bible Study – Trying Mondays! As Wednesday is difficult for some of our regulars, we are having our next Bible Study at Bart’s TOMORROW at 2pm. Everyone welcome.  We are working our way through Acts at the moment, but are always happy to consider other suggestions.

Hope 4 Newham We have been approached by a local organization, Hope 4 Newham who set up in Stratford Shopping Centre on a Tuesday evening to feed and help the homeless. They are in need of the following items: men's clothing (jumpers, tee shirts, track suit bottoms/jeans, hoodies, jackets, coats, socks, gloves, scarves and hats. They also take sleeping bags, yoga type mats, toiletries and cakes/biscuits and well as monetary donations. There is a collection point in the café should you have any items you’d like to donate.

Joint Service Apologies, there was an error in the newsletter last week.  The joint service with our friends at Pilgrims Way Methodist and Congregational Church is on 24th MARCH at 10.30am and not February as reported last week.  All are welcome.

Lent 2019 The lent course this year will be on Mission.  We will also be running preparation for first communion at St Mary’s – speak to John King – and confirmation preparation at St Bart’s – speak to Rev Sue.  See enclosed flyer for details.

Save the date Once again, we will be organizing a coach to go along to the National Pilgrimage at Walsingham on Monday 27th May.
