Parish Birthdays – Happy Birthday to Dorothy James

Building work at St Mary’s as you will see the scaffolding has now been erected (after 3 days !).  We will be like this for the next two months or so and will need to work around it during this period.  Thanks for your patience !

Colin has had a successful hip operation and is now recuperating at home.

Sunday 26 August we will welcome Tommy Foster-Duffy and his friends and family to his baptism at St Mary’s.  Please keep Tommy and his family in your prayers as they prepare for this.

Bart’s Café News Tuesday 21 August at 1.30pm is Stitch with Chris. All are welcome.

Intercessory Prayer Group will meet today at St Bart’s after the morning service.

Bible Study on 22 August at 1.30pm at St Bart’s.

Barn Dance on Saturday 8 September at St Bart’s – tickets available from the Parish Office or the usual suspects in church !  Selling fast !!

Bridge Club - A café customer is interested in joining/setting up a Bridge Club at Bart’s.  If anyone is interested, please let Shirley or the office know.

Praying On the Way A series of study sessions on using different prayer traditions to build our confidence and experience. Coach for John’s ordination We are now back to only 1 seat remaining on the coach for Chelmsford on 15 September at £15 each.  If you wish to book, please contact the Parish Office.  Money now being collected.

Saturday 15 September Introductory day for the diocesan Course in Christian Studies.  If you’re interested please speak to Rev Sue.
