Parish Birthdays – Happy Birthday to anyone celebrating this week

Lent Preachers@SMM - Views from the Pews.  As usual, during Lent, at St.Mary’s it is a chance to hear from some lay people about their work, life and faith; 3rd Sunday in Lent 4th March – Childrens service, Quintin.

4th Sunday in Lent 11th March – Mothering Sunday, Margaret Wallace.

St Mary’s We will also be having a series of first communion classes in the parish room immediately after the service. These will last around 15 minutes and are open to anyone.

Alan Robb – Qunitin has been to see Vera and we’re still waiting on the various legalities.  Date for funeral will be advised.

St Edmund's at 12 o'clock every Saturday throughout Lent we have a short mass followed by a soup lunch - all donations in aid of the Bishop's Lent Appeal. Everybody is welcome.

Quintin is away on a training conference in Essex this week for John King. Street and School Pastors March 2018 Training Course – London

Stainer's Crucifixion by All Saints Chorus to be performed at All Saints' Church, West Ham E15 3HU on March 10th at 7.30pm. Tickets available at the door - £6 and £4 Concessions.

Lent Group the parish lent group continues on Wednesdays at 7.15pm in the hall at St Mary’s and at 2pm at Pilgrims Way Methodist Church.  Due to illness we’ve had to reshuffle the sessions.  This week – Gospel of Mark, Chapters 7-10 with Sue Lucas.

St Bart’s CSI Malayalam special Eucharistic service 11 March 2018 at 3 pm. Service will be led by Ven .Dr John Perumbalathu, Archdeacon of Barking. Sermon during the service in English with CSI choir singing Lenten/Easter hymns. Tea served afterwards. All are welcome.

St Edmund’s - St Patrick's Day Concert of music from Ireland by the St Barnabas Band at St Edmund's. March 17th at 7.30pm. Admission £5

Greatfield Spring Market returns, with a huge array of stalls selling handmade gifts, cards, plants, jams, chutneys & pickles and much much more. Meet your neighbours over a nice cup of tea and (homemade) cake or lunch. The Market will be held on Saturday 24th March 2018 at St George and St Ethelbert's Church, Burford Road E6 3NQ between 11 am and 2 pm.


PCC meeting is 20 March 2018 at 7.30pm at St Edmund’s.

St Bart’s DCC meeting is TODAY at 11.45 am in the Luke Room.

The PCC meeting on 20 March 2018 at 7.30pm at St Edmund’s is the Audit Meeting.  This is to review the draft annual report and Parish accounts before the APCM.  This is an open meeting for all to meet the Auditor and ask any questions.  After this meeting the accounts will be finalised, signed and filed prior to the APCM. Please note that one copy of the draft accounts will be published in each church before this meeting.  If you need an individual copy, please contact the Parish Office. 

St Mary’s DCC meeting is 4 April 2018 at 7.30 pm in the Parish room.

St Edmunds’s DCC meeting is on 24 April 2018 at 7.30 pm.

APM & APCM are on Low Sunday 8 April at St Mary’s after a shortened 10am Eucharist.  The roll revision notices and timetable are up.  The revision of the roll starts this week and closes in 2 weeks time.  If you are in any doubt, please check you are on the electoral roll.  Those who wish to stand for office as PCC or DCC members or as Church Officers must be on the electoral roll.
