Winter Market at St Mary’s The St Mary’s Winter Market was well attended and raised £645. Thank you to all who helped and supported this community event.

The Church of South India invites you to a Christmas Carol Recital ‘He Shall Reign Forevermore!’ Today, Sunday 8 December 3.30pm at St Bart’s Church. All are welcome.

Deanery Congress tomorrow, Monday 9 December at 7.30pm at All Saints, West Ham with Bishop Peter. The Bishop would like all church wardens and parish treasurers to attend and there is strong encouragement for as many people as possible to be there.

Rectory Christmas Party Friday 13 December at 7.30pm in the Rectory. All welcome.

Cleaning and decorating St Mary’s Come along next Saturday 14 December 10am -1pm and help clean, decorate and prepare the church for Christmas! Tea, coffee, mulled wine and mince pies is the bribe and reward for your labors. All are welcome.

Christmas Carols What are they? Where did they come from? Where are they Going? An illustrated talk by Philip Norman at St Bart’s Saturday 14 December 3pm followed by refreshments. Free.

A celebration of Christmas at St. Edmund's on Sunday

15 December at 10.00am, Eucharist, carols, mince pies and mulled wine, all are welcome.

Carol Services at the City of London Cemetery. Sunday

15 December. 1pm and 2.45pm. Everyone is welcome.

Carols at Manor Farm please join Fred and Shirley who will be ‘trying’ to entertain the residents of Manor Farm on Christmas Eve at 3pm with some Carol singing. Your support would be welcome.

Writer’s/Diary in St Bart’s Church we are hosting an art installation by Alison Marchant. It is a wall of redacted pages from Virginia Woolf’s diary so that all that is visible are the words connected with the process of writing itself – runs until 3 Dec.

St Mary’s Today will be a shortened service so we can gather around the War Memorial in the Churchyard for 11am.

It’s lovely to welcome visiting faith leaders on their tour of the borough this week.

Thank you to Tony and Jean who have done a great job cleaning the memorial garden walls.

Norman Lipman June and Quintin visited Norman this week and seems very chatty. He sends his best wishes to everyone at St Mary’s.

Engagements Last week at St Mary’s, Priscilla and Alex, Mutsa and Michael had their recent engagements blessed. We wish them every happiness for the future.

St Edmund’s Patronal Festival it will be a joint service next Sunday at St Edmund’s to celebrate their Patronal Festival. Do please come along and join us for cake and a glass of wine after the service. All are welcome.
