Parish Birthdays – Happy Birthday to Simone Wetherell, Rolandas Vosylius

Thanks to all who came and helped prepare St Mary’s for Christmas- the church looks splendid !

See insert for Christmas Services and an appeal from Archdeacon Elwin.  If you would like to contribute, please do via the Parish Office by 22nd December.

St Mary’s we will be putting together the Christingles on Wednesday after the Eucharist – all welcome to help - many hands make light work !

St Mary’s it was nice to see so many children visiting the church over the last week.

St Bart’s is in need of people willing to undertake Sunday and possibly week day sacristan duties.  On Sundays this entails arriving by 9.15 at the latest and setting up for the Eucharist.  Full training will be given.

St Bart’s Christmas Card thank you all for taking the Christmas cards left at the back of church last week.  Rather than sending each other cards, this year we thought it might be nice to send just one card to everyone at church and then make a donation to a charity.  We would like to twin our toilets at St Bart’s through a charity called Toilet Twinning - https://www.toilettwinning.org.  There is a noticeboard at the back of church/in the café for you to pin a card to along with a collection box for donations.  It costs £60 to twin a single toilet and £240 to twin a block of toilets.

St Mary’s Children’s nativity performance will take place during 10am Eucharist and the 5pm service on 24th December.  Particular thanks to Jean for co-ordinating.

St Bart’s has appointed Steve Paul as Site Supervisor.  Steve started work on 5 December, Bill is recovering well following an operation.  Please keep him in your prayers...

We say farewell to Bill properly on 21 December – please drop in between 4 and 7pm to raise a glass to wish Bill well in his retirement. If you wish to contribute to Bill’s leaving gift, please let the office know.

St Edmund’s Christmas Party will be on 6th January.  Tickets are now available in all churches or from the office.  £5 if bought in advance or £7 on the door – all are welcome !

St Mary’s are having a Christmas Raffle which will be drawn on 17th December.  The top prize is a £50 M&S voucher !  Tickets on sale from this Sunday in the church hall.

St Barts Training for intercessors and altar servers has been arranged - so save the dates.  If you are already involved in one of these or would like to start, please come along.  Speak to Rev Sue for details.  Both are on Sundays from 11.15 to 12 noon; 7th January, 28st January.
