Next Sunday 21st is the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Matthew Porter from Transform Newham will be preaching at St Bart’s, and Quintin will preach at High Street South Methodist Church after St Mary’s service and we welcome Nicola Vidamour to St Mary’s who will be celebrating with us. Sue is preaching at Evensong at Brasenose College Oxford, the historic patron of the parish.
St Edmunds Many thanks to all who supported our Christmas Party last weekend – we raised £200.
St Bart’s is in need of people willing to undertake Sunday and possibly week day sacristan duties. On Sundays this entails arriving by 9.15 at the latest and setting up for the Eucharist. Full training will be given.
St Bart’s Christmas Card a great big thank you for the donations received for the Toilet Twinning – we have been able to twin the loos at St Bart’s with a Central African Republic displacement camp. Watch out for the certificate in our loo !

St Mary’s it was good to see Norman on Wednesday and he’s doing well !
Thank you to Colin and Jean for removing all the decorations at St Mary’s we’re leaving the Christmas tree up until the end of the Epiphany season.
St Barts Training for intercessors and altar servers has been postponed. Watch this space for new dates.
Rectory Party will be on Friday 2nd February at 7.30pm. All are welcome, but please let the Parish Office know if you’re coming.

PCC and DCC DATES.
PCC meeting is 23 January 2018 at 7.30 pm – Canon Jeremy Fraser Area dean and Canon Lynne Bennett Lay chair of Having deanery will be in attendance to present on Greater London Authority development money for the Deanery Building Scheme. This has direct implications for St Bart’s so the meeting will be held there. It will also be an open meeting i.e. all are welcome.

St Mary’s DCC meeting is 4 April 2018 at 7.30 pm in the Parish room.
