St Mary’s Quintin visited Marion Foot, a longtime member of St Mary’s, to give sick communion.  Marion sends her regards to all at St Mary’s.

Quiet Day Thanks to all who attended yesterday and enjoyed the day.

Congratulations to Prim and Terry as they celebrate 58 years of marriage today.  There will be a short blessing during this mornings service.

Baptism  Please pray for Ewan Peckover and his family as he prepares for baptism next week.

St Bart’s Patronal Feast. We welcome Brother Julian to St Bart’s who is preaching for us this morning. Do join us in the hall for refreshments after the service. Everyone is welcome.

The Barn Dance on 9th September at St Bart’s is now sold out! However, we have a waiting list for returns. If you would like to be put on the list please contact the Parish Office.

Sunday 10th September St Bart’s Sunday service at the normal time of 10 a.m. St Edmund’s at 9.30 a.m. St Edmunds will return to the normal time of 10 a.m. on 17th September.

Bishop Stephen on Pilgrimage: Our Diocesan Bishop is doing what Bishops are meant to do - walking his Diocese! He’s doing it Deanery by Deanery and next Sunday (10th September) he’s in Newham.  He’s starting at St Michael in the Froude Centre and will call at St Edmund’s between 10.30 and 11 (likely to be coffee rather than worship because of the 9.30 start).  He’ll end up in Stratford around lunchtime.  Shirley has full details of his itinerary.

Study Day Urban Matthew 21st September 2017. Reading Matthew’s Gospel in the urban context. Cost £7.50 including lunch. Please book in the café or the office.

Autumn Notes

An evening of solos, quartets, poems and more ! 14th October from 3.15pm to 5.30pm at St Bart’s.  Adults £5, Children £2, under 12 free.  All proceeds towards Christian Aid.  Tickets from Alison (St Mary’s), Philip (St Bart’s) or Ed (St Edmunds).

MIDWEEK EUCHARISTS    There are no midweek Eucharists in August.  Resume Wednesday 6 September 10.00am at St Edmund’s, Wednesday 6.30pm at St Mary’s, Thursday 7th September 12.30pm at St Bart’s
