Thy Kingdom Come the Archbishops have again asked us particularly to pray for the Church during the traditional 9 days from Ascension Day to Pentecost.  We will be giving everyone in the parish a booklet containing morning and evening prayer.  There will be various events here and in other churches and we will be discussing it at PCC and the DCCs.  Watch this space for further details and do look on the Thy Kingdom Come website - www.thykingdomcome.global.

Walsingham National Pilgrimage We are once again running a coach from the Parish to Walsingham on Monday 28th May 2018.  First pick up is likely to be 8am return to East Ham around 7.30pm.  Cost is £20 per person.  Please book with the Parish Office.

St Mary’s A big thank you to all who attended the Easter services and who worked so hard to make the church look lovely.

Today is a shortened service and we will have refreshments in the church to allow us to move ahead with the APM & APCM.

St Bart’s Café It has become clear from the accounts that the café is making a substantial loss in excess of £20K in 2017.  We have always been committed to supporting it, even at a small loss, a loss of this magnitude is not sustainable.  Feelings about this issue have been high

and so there will be an open meeting, externally facilitated, by Rev Paul Regan on Thursday 19th April at 7pm at St Bart’s to enable as many people as possible to express their views and to find a way forward.  Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested.  If you would like to come, and need transport, please contact the office and we will try to match up cars with those needing lifts.

The flowers at St Mary’s this Easter are from Louise Simmons in memory of her mum and dad.

Many thanks to those who came along on Saturday and did a splendid job cleaning and preparing the church for Easter.

St Bart’s The next confirmation class will be 22nd April.

St Edmund’s Please pray for Nilah Ann Quereshie,  Adam Zaky Quereshie and  Amira  Aisha  El Messaoudi as they prepare for Baptism.

Easter Card is available with details of Easter Services.  Please take a copy for yourself and a couple more for friends and neighbours.  In addition to services on the card, there will be Eucharists at 8pm at St Edmund’s on Monday of Holy week, at 8pm on Tuesday of Holy Week at St Bart’s and 10am on Wednesday of Holy week at St Edmund’s also at 6.30pm at St Mary’s.  Please note there will be no 12.30pm Eucharist at St Bart’s on Maundy Thursday.
