Lent Preachers@SMM - Views from the Pews.  As usual, during Lent, at St.Mary’s it is a chance to hear from some lay people about their work, life and faith; 2nd Sunday in Lent 25th February – Alison McLucas

3rd Sunday in Lent 4th March – Childrens service, Quintin.

St Mary’s We will also be having a series of first communion classes in the parish room immediately after the service. These will last around 15 minutes and are open to anyone.

Norman Lipman Lovely to celebrate with Norman his 90th birthday last week. 

St Edmund's at 12 o'clock every Saturday throughout Lent we have a short mass followed by a soup lunch - all donations in aid of the Bishop's Lent Appeal. Everybody is welcome.

Street and School Pastors March 2018 Training Course – London

Stainer's Crucifixion by All Saints Chorus to be performed at All Saints' Church, West Ham E15 3HU on March 10th at 7.30pm. Tickets available at the door - £6 and £4 Concessions.

Lent Group the parish lent group continues on Wednesdays at 7.15pm in the hall at St Mary’s and at 2pm at Pilgrims Way Methodist Church.  Due to illness we’ve had to reshuffle the sessions.  This week – Gospel of Mark, Introduction and Chapters 1-3 with Quintin.

St Bart’s CSI Malayalam special Eucharistic service 11 March 2018 at 3 pm. Service will be led by Ven .Dr John Perumbalathu, Archdeacon of Barking. Sermon during the service in English with CSI choir singing Lenten/Easter hymns. Tea served afterwards. All are welcome.

PCC meeting is 27 February 2018 at 7.30pm at St Mary’s.

St Bart’s DCC meeting is 4 March 2018 at 11.45 am in the Luke Room.

Audit PCC meeting on 20 March 2018 at 7.30pm at St Edmund’s.  This is to review the draft annual report and Parish accounts before the APCM.  This is an open meeting for all to meet the Auditor and ask any questions.  After this meeting the accounts will be finalised, signed and filed prior to the APCM. Please note that one copy of the draft accounts will be published in each church before this meeting.  If you need an individual copy, please contact the Parish Office.

Burns Night Many thanks to EVERYONE who supported the Burns Night Supper by attending, playing, dancing, cooking, serving & addressing the event !  We raised an amazing £955 which has been evenly split between Crisis (in memory of Francis Bassett) and the Hall Kitchen fund. 

St Bart’s is in need of people willing to undertake Sunday and possibly week day sacristan duties.  On Sundays this entails arriving by 9.15 at the latest and setting up for the Eucharist.  Full training will be given.

St Mary’s the flowers in church this week are in memory of Ken McGrane’s mum and dad.

Small (26”) flat screen digital TV in good working order needs a home – please contact the Parish Office.
